Air Force Major John Foster had been a bachelor all his
life and his dealings with women had been exclusively
social. When he retired from the head force he became the
headmaster of the Foster School, an exclusive San Francisco
school for girls that he had recently inherited from his aunt
Victoria. Helping him run the school was a former air force
sergeant and friend, Ed Robbins. The clash of these two
men with an alien environment produced very unexpected
results. Missunderstandings between them and Miss Culver,
the school principal, were frequent and often hilarious.

In the spring of 1966 there was a change in format. The Foster
School was no longer the center of attention and John and Ed
became world-traveling undercover agents for the U.S.
government using the school only as a base for which to
start, or end, their adventures. Their missions were not
heavy cloak-and-dagger stuff, but were definitely more serious,
and romantic, than anything that had happened at the
school. No matter, the series never made it to Season 2.
